Ms. Jacquelyn (Jackie) Sheehan
Hello parents and 4th graders!
This will be my fourth year teaching at St. Bernard Catholic School, and I am excited and overjoyed to begin this new school year! I look forward to observing, guiding, and taking part in all the growth, the friendships, the faith, and the wisdom that will develop with this new year of new possibilities.
A little bit about myself: I was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. With an eye for adventure and the coast, I then came to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where I earned my BA in Elementary Education with my preliminary teaching credential. The year after, inspired to learn more Spanish and to get to know another country as home, I then taught 3rd grade for a year in Juticalpa, Honduras with the Catholic Olancho Aid Foundation. A year ago, I completed my Masters Degree in Reading Instruction through the LMU PLACE Corps program, and this past year I just earned my Clear Credential.
My goal is to help instill in these students an intrinsic love of learning and of reading, because lifelong learners and strong readers have access to the whole world of knowledge. I look forward to getting to know each of you and reaching all of our goals this year. Should you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Ms. Jacquelyn Sheehan
