The purpose of the Classroom Economy is to teach students Financial Literacy.
Fourth grade students are not too young to start using the vocabulary and to start understanding how an economy can work, how to budget, how to use a "bank," how to log deposits and withdrawals, how to take out a loan, and so much more!

Classroom JobsStudents must apply for their classroom job (recommendations sometimes needed). Once they receive a job, they must carry out the duties responsibly in order to receive their full salary at the end of each month.
Students must also earn bonuses to be able to pay their desk rental each month, $1,000, and to be able to purchase items at the Monthly Auction of Prizes! |
BonusesStudents have the opportunity to earn bonus cash when they behave well and work hard.
